Practicing the Buddhist Religion requires time and patience!

Buddha comes from a very wealthy family before becoming an enlightenment and an icon for the Buddhist. He spent the rest of his life teaching the principles of Buddhism called the Dhamma. This is both a religion, but also a way of life. The rules in this belief are very strict. It means Truth. He taught until his death at the age of 80. In this article, we will present the different stages of the practice of Buddhism.

What is Buddhism?

Buddhism is an oriental religion practiced by several Far Eastern countries such as China, Vietnam, Thailand, Siberia and other surrounding countries. However, he is currently back all over the world. He is famous for his practices of meditation and the belief of incarnation. The Buddha is an icon of the philosophy of Buddhism. She embodies Asian and American culture as well as oriental custom. Buddhism explains a purpose of life, inequality and injustice.

This doctrine was passed down from generation to generation through oral teaching before being currently recorded. It was many centuries after the death of Buddha that texts on the Buddhist faith existed. Indeed, Buddhism is part of one of the oldest religions in religious history.

Follow the bodhisattva's vows to the letter

practice Buddhism

The Bodhisattva Vows are the best-known and most daily recited series of commitments in the Far East. Four in number, these vows can be found in numerous Mahayana sutras. These represent the essence of the bodhisattva ideal. They are also implicit in the ideal of the bodhisattva as well as in Buddhism itself. The four great wishes contain the spiritual aspirations of many people. It is also a public affair that is part of a public reality.

You should know that everyone without exception suffers internally, whether the rich or the poor, the beggars or the import collectors. However, they suffer martyrdom every day, because they are in search of happiness.  Suffering is caused by craving and aversion. We are often exposed to temptation and embezzlement on a daily basis. Every time we are in contact with others, we are exposed to other people who influence thinking.  We tend to conform, manipulate and alienate the demands of those around us. Only, according to the wishes of the bodhisattva, it is possible to escape from this suffering if one decides to reach Nirvana and live a way of life according to the Noble Path. To seek happiness, you must not be discouraged. On the contrary, we must persevere.

According to the bodhisattva's wishes, it is necessary to reach nirvana to have a life without suffering. Nirvana means the state of Buddha. This is the supreme goal of Buddhist meditation. It is entirely possible to reach nirvana provided you overcome spiritual and bodily suffering. We must also open up to the world and explore knowledge as well as concepts of wisdom. The objective is to know yourself and the world to avoid disruptive factors. These always lead to suffering which imprisons the mind. To free oneself therefore, one must detach oneself from material attachments and the desire for the pulpit.

Moreover, practicing Buddhism also involves continuing to learn. Education allows you to free yourself from this burden. When you know and understand a little about life and the world, you know how to act and what to do. We cannot go wrong if we know the causes and consequences of actions.

Respect Buddhist precepts and commitments

doing Buddhism

According to Buddhist practice, there are commandments that must be respected. The first is to avoid killing a living being, whether it is a human being, an animal or even an insect. Everything that belongs to nature is sacred. In this case, it is forbidden to end their life. The practice of Buddhism encourages loving creatures and avoiding any form of violence against them. It is because of respect for the life of living creatures that most Buddhists became vegetarians. According to the Buddhist faith, actions of deviance are not condemned by these precepts, but the consequences will be assigned in the afterlife.

The prohibition of stealing is also one of the pillars of Buddhist precept. It is strongly forbidden to take anything that does not belong to oneself, even food. We must resist the temptation and the desire to possess by force something that belongs to others. Abstaining is therefore a Buddhist way of life.

In addition, the manipulation and exploitation of others is also a taboo for Buddhist belief. This concerns any form of exploitation whether physical, sexual or emotional. Any relationship with a person must be consenting and with respect for the other. The practice of Buddhism does not mean or require abstinence. You just need to have self-control and be aware of all your actions and dealings with all emotional relationships. It is obvious that Buddhist teaching prohibits all forms of perversion and adultery. However, it encourages the simplicity of a relationship, honesty and sincerity.

The Buddhist religion encourages practitioners to always be honest with oneself and with others. Holding false speeches or false testimonies is sacrilege in the practice of Buddhism. This means that one should absolutely not lie when aspiring to follow this religion.

The last rule of life for a Buddhist is the prohibition of the consumption of psychotropic products. These substances are drugs, alcohol, tobacco and hallucinogenic products. Consumption of these toxic substances affects mindfulness and can cloud the mind. Often, addicts are not in control of their decision. These products make them suffer and cause them to commit rash acts such as violence, theft and scams.

Mastering the practice of Buddhism through its teachings

person who practices Buddhism

In the practice of Buddhism, there are teachings to help each person know how their mind works. It is up to each person to find the pedagogy with the corresponding teachings and meditations that will help them move forward. This step is very important so as not to do anything in life. The first lesson is to take karma into consideration. The latter is  a law of cause and effect like the concept of determinism. Buddhist philosophy believes that every cause has a consequence and a consequence has a cause. This means that past actions determine future lives. We must therefore be aware of the facts before acting or making an important decision. Karma leads according to the Buddhist belief in samsara. Indeed, it is the actions that determine the future condition. Hence the need for pure moral conduct to have good karma and be reborn in a higher condition or reach nirvana, if one has stripped oneself of all bad karma. On the other hand, if we do good deeds, we can be sure of having peace of mind. They also provide well-being.

Believing in samsara

In the Buddhist religion, there are habits and customs that each Buddha must follow. In the practice of Buddhism, you must therefore believe in your beliefs, including samsara, which we call reincarnation in the West. Samsara defines a belief in the vicious circle of human life. This concerns the incarnation and rebirth of men after death. It is an infinite cycle where Man suffers constantly and indefinitely, because he is connected to samsara. No one can escape his samsara. According to Buddhist belief, it is under the tree of enlightenment that Buddha becomes aware of samsara. He was remembering his past lives.

It should be noted that samsara has emptiness as its essence, suffering as its property and misunderstanding as its aspect.

Respect nature

samsara

If one wants to practice Buddhism, an individual must live humbly while respecting nature. Humility is undoubtedly the fundamental value of Buddhist practice. A person according to this religion must accept what he is and resign himself. He must explore wisdom and knowledge a little more than material wealth and power.

Achieving the middle path is also part of Buddhist precepts. It is a very particular teaching which allows the Buddhist practitioner to protect himself from exaggeration and extremes. According to Buddhist belief, only the golden mean is the path to happiness. It is also the path to the cessation of misery and suffering.

Practice Buddhism through meditation

In the Buddhism religion, every person must do meditation for the stability of the spirit, mind and body. This technique consists of calming down and framing yourself in the face of a difficult or problematic situation. Its objective is to calm the mind and center oneself in one's body. Its benefit is to provide peace within oneself. This way, we can effectively carry out daily responsibilities. Meditation would also be an effective method of concentration. It is based on breathing considered to be the pillar of meditation and the majority of relaxation methods. Breathing is excellent for reducing negative thoughts that cloud the mind. By focusing on this breathing, we can occupy the brain by centering it on something calm.

Buddhist meditation also brings many benefits for the person who practices it, particularly on their personal development, their mind, their body, their health in general, but also on their relational aspects. It is considered one of the best solutions for eliminating all forms of constraints, releasing accumulated stress, promoting positive experiences and intentions. Then, during this practice, one can make the most of the tranquility of consciousness.

Subsequently, this type of practice also helps reduce blood pressure and hypertension, lower cholesterol levels, reduce the production of stress hormones, improve immune function and reduce anxiety and depression. as well as insomnia. This is the benefit of this type of meditation on a physiological and psychological level.

In addition, mediation improves memory capacity and the ability to learn. Indeed, it is an effective process for awakening new neuronal connections and even transforming regions of the brain.

Learn to always calm down

stay calm

To be able to practice Buddhism, one must also learn to manage one's emotions, to know oneself better and to gain serenity. In order to achieve this, a few rules must be respected. As human beings tend to follow social regulations, the constraints established by society, the individual must learn to detach and let go internally of the real world. This is useful to lighten the conscience a little and nourish freedom. Then, during this time of relief, you have to focus a little more on your path and your goals in life. According to Buddhist belief, everyone has at least one talent and skill in one thing. The goal is to optimize one's personal ability by trying to express the force of one's thoughts. Moreover, each talent has unique needs corresponding to creative expression. This is what gives meaning to life.

One of the rules to consider in Buddhist learning is to also believe in the existence of a spiritual life as well as the fundamental value of the spirit. With such an outlook on life, one can already appreciate what one has by easily expressing love to others.

Taking the time to rest in silence to access inner dialogue with yourself is part of the first practice of Buddhist meditation. This consists of letting go of the burden that weighs on consciousness and rising into a metaphysical life while respecting of course the rules of Buddhist belief and practice.
